Yes that Rodney King…the one whose illustrious beat down sparked the LA riots of 1992. (and a really annoying Sublime song that sings about places that no one cares about like Hesperia and Victorville)…I digress…
The word celebrity is used loosely in the title of the show…Rodney King is in fact the only alleged “celebrity” I’ve ever heard of on the show…and if that is our new definition of celebrity, I must’ve missed out on Webster’s new meaning in the dictionary (and I keep up with the new words they add too…and any and all changes involved in the literary realm)…
So Rodney King got arrested a handful of times…dances naked on the 10 freeway high on Ecstasy and PCP…gets a DUI in 2003…let’s put him on a show; he’s got a lot of court fees to pay..let’s throw the fucker a damn bone.
Great…what about the other “celebrities”…huh? Some loser from American Idol no one has heard of…some old ass washed up 80’s chick who appeared in a video or two…some model no one has heard of; (translation of model no one knows; Prostitute, engineer of handys, stripper or some kind of nudie worker)…
Some other 80’s washed up shitty rocker…Rod Stewart’s derelict son…some freak from Taxi no one has heard of and if you have; arn’t you dead yet (that guy was on last season and snuck in heroin and coke and was almost a vegetable…and was almost dead…it’s his time to go; leave him alone Dr. Drew) …and Gary Busey who claims to have been sober for a few decades…what a lie…did you see that gawd awful show he was on a few years ago…some lame reality show following him around; I’d hate to think a sober person was responsible for such crap…if so; that is a stellar PSA for doing drugs…
Anyways, more bad television on the way folks…with a bunch of has been train wrecks that have a lot of court fees/restraining orders and warrants out….along with child support, drug dealers and loan sharks to pay…fun for the whole damn family!
